How selling bitcoin works

Selling bitcoin through Bitonic is fast, secure, and straightforward. Whether your bitcoin is stored in the Bitonic app or in your own wallet. We recommend selling via the Bitonic app for the best experience. It’s quick, user-friendly, and your funds are immediately available. Payouts to your bank account are usually processed instantly, depending on your bank.

People sell bitcoin for different reasons: to take profits, cover expenses, rebalance their portfolio, or because the bitcoin price has gone up. Whatever your reason, Bitonic offers the tools and reliability to convert your bitcoin into euros with confidence.

You decide how much bitcoin to sell, and will instantly see an estimated payout in euros based on the current bitcoin price. Everything is transparent, from the exchange rate to the final confirmation.

What you need to get started

To sell bitcoin through Bitonic, you need a verified Bitonic account and a bank account (IBAN) in your name. Verification is only required once and takes just a few minutes.

We ask for some basic personal information and a valid ID (such as a passport or ID card). This is required under Dutch regulations and helps ensure a secure and compliant trading environment.
