About Bitonic

In April 2012 Bitonic was the first in the Netherlands to start offering (automated) Bitcoins via iDEAL. We do so via our website and our app. Besides, customers have the possibility to store their bitcoin at Bitonic (custodial) instead of in their own wallet and to automatically buy bitcoin with Auto Invest.

Software tester at Bitonic

At Bitonic, we dedicate a lot of time to developing and improving our app and website. You’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly and contribute to improving the quality of our digital products.

• Test new features as well as existing parts of our software
• Check not only that everything works correctly, but also that the design looks right, the text makes sense, and the user experience feels smooth
• Identify potential issues that customers might encounter and report them to our app and website teams
• No prior experience in software testing is required, but some experience with coding or using software/computers is helpful so you understand how our systems work

What do we expect from you?

• You are available approximately 8–12 hours per week (flexible according to your schedule), which you can spread over multiple days
• You are detail-oriented, curious, and analytical
• You have experience using MacOS and/or Linux
• You have a basic sense of usability and enjoy “digging into” digital products
• You actively give feedback and flag areas for improvement to optimize the user experience
• You are independent, proactive, and thrive in a work environment with lots of freedom and flexibility
• We are a bitcoin company, so affinity with bitcoin/crypto is a plus
• We expect you to work from our office in Amsterdam
• Speaking Dutch is a plus, proper English skills are required.

Our perks

• We offer a salary of € 15 – € 18 per hour (equivalent to € 17,45 – € 20,94 per hour including holiday allowance and 13th-month bonus)
• A thirteenth month
• 32 vacation days on a full-time basis, including public holidays: you can choose whether you work on public holidays or not
• Travel allowance of € 0,23 cents per km or NS business card
• Flexibility in working hours
