Bitonic Savings (formerly Bits) is now available in the app! Automated saving in bitcoin is now even easier!

From now on, our bitcoin savings service, Bits, is called Bitonic Savings and is fully integrated into the Bitonic app! This makes it even easier to create and manage savings plans. Using your own bitcoin wallet is no longer necessary, you can securely store your saved bitcoin in your Bitonic account. Of course, it remains possible to send your bitcoin to your own wallet at any time. Existing savings plans will continue without any changes and will automatically appear in the app.

How does it work?

• Create a savings plan: Open the app, select the new 'Savings' icon, and click on 'Add savings plan.'
• Choose where you want to receive your bitcoin: You can opt to store your saved bitcoin in your Bitonic account or have it automatically sent to your own wallet.

If you store your bitcoin in your Bitonic account:

• Select your bank account: Choose an existing bank account or add a new one to your account. Set up an automatic transfer from this account through your bank.
• Add a savings label: Assign your savings plan a recognizable label reflecting your goal (e.g., Mortgage, Vacation). This label will also appear in the description of your bank transfer.

• Set up an automatic payment:

  IBAN: NL13 ABNA 0541 9082 86
  Account Holder: ST BITONIC PAYMENTS
  Description: Add the word 'Savings' followed by your chosen label (e.g., Savings Mortgage, Savings Vacation).

  Determine the amount and frequency of the payment in your banking app.

• Start saving: Each transfer will automatically be converted into bitcoin and added to the corresponding savings plan. You can create as many savings plans as you like—just ensure that you include 'Savings' and the chosen label in the description.

If you use your own wallet:

• Select a bitcoin address: Choose or add the address of the wallet where your saved bitcoin should be sent.
• Select your bank account: Choose an existing bank account or add a new one to your account. Set up an automatic transfer from this account through your bank.
• Set a bundling amount: Specify the amount of bitcoin to accumulate before it is automatically sent to your wallet.
• Add a label: This label will also appear in the description of your bank transfer.
• Confirm with SMS: For security, you will receive an SMS code. Enter this code to confirm your savings plan.

• Set up an automatic payment to:

  IBAN: NL13 ABNA 0541 9082 86
  Account Holder: ST BITONIC PAYMENTS
  Description: Add the word 'Savings' followed by your chosen label (e.g., Savings Mortgage, Savings Vacation).

• Start saving: Each transfer will automatically be converted into bitcoin and stored until the set threshold amount is reached. Once this happens, the bitcoin will be automatically sent to your wallet. Make sure to include 'Savings' and the chosen label in your transfer description.

Important: Please ensure the correct description is added to your payment in your banking environment, as payments without it cannot be converted into bitcoin and allocated to a savings plan. Instead, the payments will added to your euro balance in your Bitonic account.
