The first conversations about Bitcoin started in September 2010. The idea of starting a business in Bitcoin came in september 2011. The idea came into reality on 1 May, 2012: the official start of the Bitonic.
A historical day for us, but just as important for the Dutch Bitcoin community as a whole. Bitonic has been at the forefront of the Bitcoin battle from the start, not settling for less and always keeping in mind whats best for our customers.
Bitonic has been around since the start…
…we are ready for more!
We’ve seen it all! From full force attacks on the Bitcoin protocol, major exchanges going down, to regulatory battles with the Dutch regulator. But we survived, and we’ve got no plans of backing down anytime soon. We are more than ready for the next chapter!
As we have seen Bitcoin mature over the course of our ten year existence we are thankful we’ve been able to experience its growth from up close and have never believed more in our mission and vision than even before. Bitcoin!
The Bitonic team is stronger than ever and we feel 2022 is going to be our year, the beginning of the next chapter. We have been building behind the scenes and have recently released a new trade engine for our exchange BL3P, we have created the renewed and innovative educational platform Bitcoin.nl, and have helped people to start saving with Bitcoin by creating our latest service Bits.
With our core mission and hyperfocus on Bitcoin clearer in front of us than ever before we have also started forming new alliances by sponsoring the young and ambitious. In doing so, we believe this is another way to pass along our focus on stability and long term thinking.
